Data-driven sampling focuses on delivering lower volumes of more engaging, higher quality experiences – in the comfort and safety of home. The cost per sample is typically higher than the more traditional methods but each sample is hyper-targeted – producing low/no waste, full accountability and a stream of high value, measurable returns. All data-driven sampling activities come with full campaign and product performance reporting – built in, as standard.

E-comm sampling focuses on distributing product samples in existing Ecommerce shipments. Typically this format offers high volume distribution of loosely targeted, lower quality experiences. E-comm distributions are most often facilitated through cross-promotion and partnerships – offering a safe way to deliver an in-home product trial, at a lower cost. Although the cost per sample is less than that of data-driven sampling, the targeting capabilities with E-comm are very limited, and as a result the waste is much higher. If you’re looking to bolster physical in-home reach with additional product trials, E-comm is a great option to help control the cost – albeit without the accountability or any built-in performance reporting mechanics.

Much like other forms of mass drop sampling, on-street focuses on distributing as many product samples as possible, at the lowest cost. There are several inherent drawbacks of this old fashioned industry standard.
